Chamber Gift Certificate Program

Well, the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce is ready to assist you with all your holiday shopping needs with your Backyard Gift Card!

The new Glastonbury Chamber gift certificate program allows local residents and employers throughout the Glastonbury community to purchase generic gift certificates redeemable at the business or shop of any participating Glastonbury Chamber member.

The Chamber program is an initiative of the Glastonbury Chamber's Business Promotion Committee, which aims to increase the profile of local businesses, retailers and restaurants among area residents. This committee came together after results of a community-wide survey were released in July of 2005. The survey of Glastonbury residents, commissioned by both the Glastonbury Chamber and the Glastonbury Education Foundation, indicated that Glastonbury residents are doing a substantial amount of shopping for clothing and home furnishings outside of town, particularly in Manchester and West Hartford. The Chamber program further supports the Chamber's ongoing mission of strengthening the local economy by promoting member businesses and encouraging local commerce.

Chamber gift certificates are easy to purchase and are available in increments of $5, up to $50. The flexibility of the CertifiCheck, as it is redeemable at a variety of different businesses, makes it a great gift option for holidays, special occasions and for those looking to reward employees or thank coaches or teachers.

To order a Glastonbury CertifiCheck, visit the Glastonbury Chamber website, www.glastonburychamber.com, and click on the "Chamber" logo.. After placing an order, Certificates will arrive by mail along with a list of participating Chamber members. Be sure to look for decals in the windows of participating retailers, restaurants and businesses. Certificates can also purchased at the Glastonbury Chamber, located at 2400 Main Street in Glastonbury, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
